I created 'Crimson Soles, Raven Heels' to capture the raw, unapologetic power and dominance inherent in the stiletto high heel. My vision was to elevate this iconic symbol of feminine allure beyond mere accessory, transforming it into an object of intense desire and artistic expression. Using thick impasto oil paint, I focused on the dramatic contrast of the glossy patent leather black upper against the intensely textured, almost tactile crimson red sole. The dynamic paint splatters suggest a moment of impact, a burst of energy, or perhaps the thrilling aftermath of passionate indulgence. I wanted to highlight the exquisite arch of the foot implied by the shoe's form, emphasizing the sculptural beauty and the fetishistic draw. This piece delves deep into the sensual curves and the unmistakable silhouette that define true stiletto worship.
