With 'Obsidian Arch,' I aimed to dive deep into the potent allure of the stiletto high heel, transforming its inherent power into a tactile, visceral experience. My vision was to create an artwork that doesn't just depict, but evokes the sensation and mystique of these iconic shoes. I meticulously applied thick impasto oil paint to sculpt the forms, giving a three-dimensional quality to the sensual curves of the legs and the dramatic arch of the foot. The interplay of deep blacks, shimmering greys, and stark whites, punctuated by vibrant bursts of red, blue, and yellow, highlights the tension and elegance. This piece is a celebration of feminine dominance, the erotic aesthetic of footwear, and the captivating interplay between submission and control. The glossy patent leather effect is conveyed through dynamic brushstrokes, making the viewer feel the texture and form. It's an homage to the timeless symbol of sexual power embodied by the stiletto fetish.
